Put Sherbeth on your phone

There is nothing to download from a store: you add it to your Home screen in six taps. Then it opens from its own icon, like an app.

Which phone do you have?

On iPhone and iPad

Use Safari: it is Apple’s browser, with the blue compass icon. Only Safari has the “Add to Home Screen” entry.

  1. Open Safari

Look for the blue compass icon on your Home screen and tap it. If you opened this page from WhatsApp, Instagram or another app, tap the address at the top, copy it and paste it into Safari.

  2. Go to webapp.sherbeth.it

Tap the bar at the top, type webapp.sherbeth.it letter by letter and press “Go” on the keyboard. Wait for the page to open.

  3. Tap the Share symbol

It is a square with an arrow pointing up. It sits at the bottom of the screen, in the middle; on iPad it is at the top right. A sheet with entries opens.

  4. Scroll and choose “Add to Home Screen”

In the sheet, scroll the list down until you find the entry with the square and the plus sign. Tap it.

  5. Tap “Add” at the top right

You can leave the name “Sherbeth” as it is. After “Add” the sheet closes by itself.

  6. Find the Sherbeth icon on your Home screen

It is on the last page of apps: swipe left until you see it. From now on open Sherbeth from there, like any other app.

In Chrome or Firefox on iPhone the entry is recent and not on every phone: the safe road is Safari.

On Android

Use Chrome: it is the browser with the red, yellow, green and blue circle. Almost every Android phone already has it.

  1. Open Chrome

Look for the red, yellow, green and blue circle on your Home screen or in the app drawer and tap it. If you opened this page from another app, tap the address at the top, copy it and paste it into Chrome.

  2. Go to webapp.sherbeth.it

Tap the bar at the top, type webapp.sherbeth.it letter by letter and press the magnifier or “Go” on the keyboard. Wait for the page to open.

  3. Tap the three dots at the top right

They are three dots one above the other, in the top right corner of the screen. A menu opens.

  4. Choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”

The name changes from phone to phone, but it is the same entry: it has a small phone with an arrow next to it. Tap it.

  5. Tap “Install”

The phone asks you to confirm: tap “Install” or “Add”. If it asks where to put it, choose “Add automatically”.

  6. Find the Sherbeth icon

It is on the Home screen or in the app drawer (swipe up from the bottom). From now on open Sherbeth from there, like any other app.

With Samsung “Internet” the steps differ: tap the three lines at the bottom right, then “Add page to”, then “Home screen”.

And then?

  • Sherbeth opens full screen, with its icon, without the browser bar.
  • Your wallet, your QR and your tickets are the same: no need to log in again.
  • If the network in the square comes and goes, the app stays open and picks up by itself as soon as it is back.
  • To remove it, hold the icon and choose “Remove” (iPhone) or “Uninstall” (Android).
